Come and celebrate your local river and join the Maritime Museum steamboat ‘Puke’, local kayakers, paddle-boarders, waka ama, the sea-scouts and more in a colourful parade on the water.

All small vessels welcome. Decorate your boat, wear a costume or just come and have a picnic and watch the spectacle. There will be also be a range of local food and drink available, art and music to enjoy and activities for the kids.

The launch location is Archibald park, Kelston. Boaties need to register before launching.

Registrations from 10.30am; Welcome and safety briefing at 12 midday; and 12.30 the Flotilla sets off.

Meanwhile on land we will be joined by other local organisations including the Whau River Catchment Trust, Te Whau Pathway Project, Avondale Community Action, Kelston Community Hub, the NZ Maritime Museum and more.

Sunday 5th March is the rain-date. The schedule will also go back half an hour if this is the case.
