DESCRIPTION:The FLOATING THEATRE is a first of its kind. An intimate theatre experience floating on the water that sparkles with light and shadow.\n\nThe Floating Theatre is a 60 minute show which can be watched from inside or out. Be one of 30 people to see the show up close from within the luminous walls\, where a tiny stage transforms into an endless landscape and no-one is who they seem. Or watch it from outside as a shadow-play for free.\n\nDirected & designed by Stephen Bain\, performed by Jeremy Randerson & Jenny McArthur\, music by Jeff Henderson\, props by Sarah-Jane Blake\n\nWinning Productions make outdoor performances throughout NZ\, touring shows and installations to Australia & Europe. SUMMARY:Flotilla Whau
DESCRIPTION:Come and celebrate your local river and join the Maritime Museum steamboat 'Puke'\, local kayakers\, paddle-boarders\, waka ama\, the sea-scouts and more in a colourful parade on the water.\n\nAll small vessels welcome. Decorate your boat\, wear a costume or just come and have a picnic and watch the spectacle. There will be also be a range of local food and drink available\, art and music to enjoy and activities for the kids.\n\nThe launch location is Archibald park\, Kelston. Boaties need to register before launching.\n\nRegistrations from 10.30am; Welcome and safety briefing at 12 midday; and 12.30 the Flotilla sets off.\n\nMeanwhile on land we will be joined by other local organisations including the Whau River Catchment Trust\, Te Whau Pathway Project\, Avondale Community Action\, Kelston Community Hub\, the NZ Maritime Museum and more.\n\nSunday 5th March is the rain-date. The schedule will also go back half an hour if this is the case.\n\nThe Flotilla Whau event is a HOOPLA project with generous support from the Whau Local Board.
